Last Christmas project posted for the year....

Wow!! We're almost to the year 2011! Unbelievable!!! So here is one last post showing you one more Christmas card along with a set of to/from tags. For my card, I used #3058 Jolly Tilda from Magnolia-licious along with the presents which are also a Magnolia stamp but I can't find them in stock right now. If you're interested, please be sure and ask Diana about them. Tilda and the presents are colored with Copic markers, and then I fussy cut and popped them up off the card base for lots of dimension.  You might be able to tell a little better with the next pic.

The background papers are from Nitwit Collections, and the cardstock is Bazzill. I know it almost looks black, but it's a dark green color. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used some Angel Wings Shimmerz on them. The bow is made from May Arts silk ribbon of course and I believe the charm is from the Charm Barn.

Here is a set of to/from tags I made using #3070 Sitting Angel Tilda from the Merry Christmas 2010 collection from Magnolia-licious. Again, it doesn't look like she's in stock right now, but please check with Diana if you are interested.  The box is just a standard jewelry box that I decorated to match the tags. That's it for me today. Tomorrow I will have my project for the Magnolia-licious Design Team Sketch Challenge, so I hope you check back for that!

Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for another fabulous year of your friendship! I am truly blessed. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you in 2011!! Hugs!

A very quick post with another Christmas card

Hi everyone! Just a really quick post to show some more of the new Christmas stamps that I got from Magnolia-licious! I used #3001 Wrapped Tilda, but just cut the big bow off of her. I also used the Noel stamp which I can't find in stock right now. DP is Basic Grey, cardstock is Bazzill, and I also used a Martha Stewart border punch. The bow was done with my fabulous Bow Easy.

Thanks so much for taking a sec to drop by and see me today. If you have time between all the hustling and bustling of the holidays, please stop by to see me on Tuesday for the Papertake Weekly challenge. I used one of the new Tilda stamps from the winter club kit. Now I'm off to make sugar cookies! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs - an ornament!

Happy Friday Eve! WOOHOO!! It's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs, and this week, she is asking for an ornament. Well, I went a little different with this one. I had fallen in love with this funny stamp that I got from Bunny Zoe's shop, and have just been waiting for the perfect time to use it. And finally, this was it! I wanted to make an ornament that was also a gift card. So I used my Cricut Expression along with the Joys of The Season cartridge and cut out this ornament shaped card. In the center I placed this stamp that I colored with Copic markers. I also used fun fluff on his suit and hat, and white flower soft for the snow on the roof. I cut another circle and cut it in half for the gift card holder on the inside left. Then I set out to make up a little verse for the inside of the gift card.

If you can't read it, you can just click on the picture so you'll be able to. I strung a ribbon through the top and it's now ready to hang a gift card on the tree! DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to check out the rest of the team's fabulous creations, and then we'd love it if you would grab your paper and glue and play along! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Happy weekend everyone! YAY!!! I sure hope you're enjoying the holidays! I'm frantically trying to get everything done, like I'm sure a lot of you are. And the weather is NOT cooperating. We're still digging out from over 12 inches of snow earlier in the week, and now it's snowing like crazy again! We're supposed to get another couple inches tonight, and then another storm is coming in tomorrow bringing us another 6 plus inches!! Oh my gosh! When does spring arrive???? LOL! It's not even winter yet! If this keeps up, I think our odds of having a white Christmas is going to be pretty good! At least we got rid of the 15 below zero temps! WHEW! Ok, I'm sure you've heard enough about our weather. Isn't this little couple just adorable?? I fell in love with both of them when I first laid eyes on them in the new So Jolly, So Snowy, Mistletoe collection. I knew they would look so cute together!

They are #146 Santa's Helper (Edwin), Tilda looks to be out of stock right now and so does the tree (cut out of the set of three outdoor evergreens), I also used #548 sofa, all from Magnolia-licious. If you're interested in the stamps that are out of stock, just email Diana. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. I paper pieced the couch. There's lots of dimension as the top mat is popped up from the card base, the sofa is popped up from that, and then Tilda and Edwin are popped up from that! I do love dimension!!! :) The stamps are all colored with Copic markers and I used Kaiser flat backed pearls on the tree as ornaments. The most fun part of the card is the fun flock I used on the hats and Edwin's suit. It looks so cute in person! I love that stuff! Here's another pic to try and give you a better look at the fun flock.

I started to put a tag on the ribbon that said We wish you a Merry Christmas, but thought it detracted too much from the little scene I created. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy (LOVE that tool and use it for every card now!!)
This fits right in for the Just Magnolia challenge of anything Christmassy, so I'm entering it for that! That's it for today! If you're looking for the Wags 'n Whiskers blog hop, please scroll down to the next post. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

A new challenge by Bitten By The Bug

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We went Saturday and picked out our tree and it was sooooo cold!! Talk about putting you in the mood for Christmas! Thank goodness they had a nice warm fire in a barrell for us to get warm every once in a while. It was all worth it though, cause we found the most beautiful tree!

Today's Bitten By The Bug challenge is from the sweet and talented Enfys, and she picked the ribbon frame from the Joys of The Season cartrdige. What a pretty frame! I just had to use my new #3008 Sitting Tilda with Candy that I got from Magnolia-licious. Isn't she so pretty?

I thought she looked awesome propped right into that frame. DP is Bo Bunny and cardstock is Bazzil. I stitched around the panels and added a big red bow with a Christmas charm and some red Kaiser pearls. That's it for my card today! Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team!

I also have a couple other things to tell you about. First, we will be celebrating a new release of Wags N Whiskers stamps this week! Peggy Loves Vintage Snowman Christmas Card

First thing I want to say is that I'm really sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately and not getting to visit your blogs and comment the way I normally like to. It's just that time of year, and I'm hustling and bustling all over the place, so I don't see it getting much better at all before the holidays are over. So please forgive me. And with that...I'll get on with my post...

Happy Friday everyone! I am on the run! And this kind of Christmas card is perfect to make when I've got so much to do. This is one of those cards that looks like it took hours, but actually only took minutes. I used one of the sketches from Papertake Weekly by the sweet and talened Dawny, and this adorable snowman image from Peggy Loves Vintage . I printed two of the snowmen images out and cut them out and popped the top one up. EASY PEASY!!!! The DP is Daisy D's and the cardstock is Bazzil.

I added some Martha Stewart punched snowflakes to adorn the corners with a Kaiser pearl, a bow tied with my amazing BOW EASY, and added a cute Christmas charm, and I called this card done. Lots of dimension, lots of Christmas color, and only a few minutes for construction. I love it! Please go HERE and check out all the amazing Christmas cut outs and cd's that are available at Peggy Loves Vintage. I think you'll fall in love just like I did, and then you'll be able to make awesome cards with minimal effort!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Bitten By The Bug blog hop - phone challenge

Happy Monday and welcome to our monthly Bitten By The Bug Blog Hop! Now if you have made it here from the blog of the awesomely talented Krista, then you are on the right track! This week our challenge was issued by the fabulously talented Regina, and she asked us to use this cute phone cut from the From My Kitchen cartridge. As soon as I heard the challenge was this phone, the Christmas song "Santa Baby" came into my head, so that's what I decided on. I took the line "Santa Baby...forgot to mention one little thing...a ring....I don't mean on the phone. Santa Baby, hurry down the chimney tonight!" LOVE that song! LOL! I just used scrap paper for the card along with Bazzil cardstock. All the pieces were cut out with my Gypsy that I got from Hallmark Scrapbook. I'm telling you, it is sooooo awesome not to have to dig through cartridges and change them out! Talk about a time saver! And anything that saves me time is a HUGE friend of mine! The frame the phone is sitting on is cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cart that comes loaded on the Gypsy. The word bubble is from George. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and some faux stitching.

Now for the fun stuff, the blog candy! I am giving away an assortment of stamped images, including some images from Magnolia-licious , Wags N Whiskers, High Hopes, Belles and Whistles, and even some from the highly sought after Hanglar and Stanglar! You will also receive an assortment of charms, and that's STILL not all! You will also receive a set of cut outs (your choice) from Peggy Loves Vintage! Talk about being able to knock out some fast Christmas cards! Just use the awesome Christmas images from Peggy Loves Vintage, and you'll be done before you know it! All you have to do to win is leave a comment on this post before Midnight Friday night, Dec 3rd. That should allow you to receive it in plenty time to make some Christmas cards with your goodies.

Ok, so that's it for me today. Now you're going to head to the most infamous Donna's blog, and check out her fabulous creation for today's hop! I'm telling you, I sure wish I could make my Design Studio and Cricut sing the way this girl can. She makes the most awesome creations ever!!! Don't forget, if you get lost along the way during the hop, just pop back over to Bitten By the Bug to get back on track. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Magnolia Christmas frame card with Waiting Tilda and Martha Stewart border

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope all my friends in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving! And for those of you that ventured out yesterday in seach of the perfect bargain, I hope it worked out for you! Me? Nope, I don't even touch Black Friday. I have to get up for work every week day at 4:30, there's no way I'm getting up that early on a day off. LOL! My sleep is worth more to me than the bargain I might find out there. Now onto my card, this was so much fun and easier than I thought it would be, and I totally love the effect. So I will be making more of these frame cards, that's for sure! I first saw it over on Dawny's blog for our Papertake Weekly challenge and fell in love with hers, and I was lucky enough to have the day off, so I could immediately start on one of these frame cards. You can find the pictorial on how to make one yourelf right HERE. It was put together by our very own talented Claudia for a previous Patertake Weekly Challenge.

I tried so hard to show you the dimension of this with the camera, but I really couldn't capture it very well. The Magnolia house is in a frame that is recessed a full 1/2" from the front of the card. The effect in real life is awesome! I used three different Magnolia stamps which came from Magnolia-licious. I used Waiting Tilda, Large Sled, and #9 house. They're colored with Copic markers and then cut out. The DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. On the house, I added some liquid applicque and some beads for some sparkle. Around the edge of the frame, I added a border made with a Martha Stewart punch, and in the corners, I hid the meeting points with a MS snowflake punch adorned with a Kaiser pearl.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it, and I'd love it if you would try one for yourself. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Big hugs!

Papertake Weekly

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! Hope you're having a wonderful week, and to my friends in the US, If your anything like me, you're busy getting ready for a fiest on Thursday. For the Papertake Weekly challenge this week, the fabulous Dawny has asked us to make a favorite Christmas card, and it's being sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp!! I know I've said it before, but I truly love gingerbread peeps! It's one of my favorite holiday symbols. So when Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' came out with this ADORABLE cutting file Gingerbread Boy or Girl, I thought I was just going to jump through the roof! Is this not the cutest card??? And Regina makes it so easy for you! If you have a cutting machine, you can just use the wpc file and your machine will cut it right out. If you don't, just use your handy dandy pair of scissors and cut it out yourself. Either way, it makes the most adorable shaped card, don't you think?? I used Bazzil carstock for the base, PTI polka dot paper for the gingie, and more Bazzil for the decorations. The only thing I used that isn't included in the set is the Martha Stewart snowflake and a rain dot in the center of it. Oh, and a little ribbon too. So please pop over to Papertake Weekly and join in on the fun with us. You could win a fabulous prize from Simon Says Stamp. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

A new chilly Bitten By The Bug challenge - a cute penguin

There's change in the air, and not just the seasons! We're changing things up a little bit over at Bitten By The Bug, so be sure and visit to see what is going on! This week, we received an awesome challenge from Carla! She asked us to use this adorable little penguin from the Joys of the Season cartridge. I saw this paper from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses line, and knew I would have to make a pink penguin! What do you think? The card base is cut from Bazzil cardstock and the PP is Basic Grey. The ribbons are Offray and the snowflakes and "let it snow" cut are both from the Winter Woodland cartridge. I used a couple dew drops for her eyes and shaded her tummy with copic markers. Added some machine stitching and one more Christmas card is done! YAY!
So be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to check everything out and see all the wonderful projects the designers have come up with this week. I've been able to take a peek, and you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see your tomorrow for the Papertake Weekly challenge! HUGS!

Papertake Weekly challenge - Spots N Stripes

Good morning!! I hope you made it through your Monday without too much grief! :) With today being Tuesday, that means it's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge. This time, Dawny challenged us to use spots and stripes, and it's being sponsored by the amazing Simon Says Stamp! Spots N Stripes....sounded like the perfect background for another Christmas card, and this one with adorable gingies!!! I LOVE cute gingerbread people! And I do mean I LOVE THEM! LOL!

This adorable pair is from Peachy Keen Stamps and they're colored with Copic markers. The DP are both digi, the striped paper is a Pink Petticoat download and I don't remember where I found the spots (sorry). I left this card VERY simple as I didn't want anything to distract from those cuties! I simply added a bow made with gorgeous lace ribbon from May Arts. Thanks for the link, Becca!! That's it for today! Be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly and take a look at the fabulous creations from the other designers. Then grab your paper and glue and play aong with us for a chance to win a wonderful prize from Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! If you're looking for the BBTB blog hop candy, or the Magnolia-licious blog hop candy, please check my posts below! HUGS!

I'm starting on my Christmas cards!

Happy Saturday! I am finally starting to work on my Christmas cards. Pretty soon, I will be working hard and heavy to try and get them all done so I don't have to stress about it. I always start out with such good intentions, and always end up short of my goal. Maybe this year will be different. We'll see. For this card, I used a new stamp set from The Cutting Cafe' called Christmas Long Borders. If you haven't checked out Regina's digi stamps, please do yourself a favor and go have a peek. She's got some really amazing Christmas sets available right now!

This gorgeous little girl is Noelle Bearing Gifts from Digital Penil Too, and she's colored with Copics. Is she not just gorgeous?? I just adore her Christmas coat and she has the most beautiful face. I placed her on a mat that was trimmed with a Martha Stewart border punch that my wonderful friend Jacque sent me! Thanks again Jacque! The DP is from an old, old, old stack and the cardstock is Bazzil. The images are printed on cryogen white. OH! Almost forgot to say that the snowflakes are cut with the Cricut Expression and Winter Woodland cartridge available for a wonderful price at Hallmark Scrapbook.
That's it for today. The kids went to the Pumpkin Patch today, so tomorrow we will be busy carving faces in them! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by to see me and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!
