Superduper boy and the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit!!

Hi everyone! Well, we're a little closer to the weekend! Can you tell I'm ready? LOL! This was the card I designed for my Copic coloring class this month. I fell in love with this cute little guy Superduper Boy from Mo's Digitial Pencil Too! He's colored with Copic Sketch markers (yep! I have the colors listed below). Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is from Inque Boutique.

There's lots of dimension as each panel is popped up from the one under it. All three panels are machine stitched, and Superduper boy is fussy cut and popped up from the oval Nestie. The stars were cut with the Expression using the Gyspsy and George cartridge. The twine was just wrapped around the panel and then tied in a bow.

I also used an old Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom half. First, here are the colors used for the card. Then scroll on down to find the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit! Good luck!!

I am entering this into
Mo's challenge this week "Let's hear it for the boys!"

Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

It won't matter!

Oh how fun was this card to make! A friend at work asked me to make a birthday card for his wife. So I set to work. I thought about it for quite a while, trying to figure out exactly how I wanted to approach it, and started going through my digital stamps. When I came across this stamp of Jill from Mo Manning, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! So I grabbed my pen and paper and made up this little verse to go along with this absolutely adorable stamp!

Here's a close up of the verse so you can see what it says. Kind of sums up how we feel about birthdays in our thirty's, doesn't it??!! LOL! Just click on the pic for a nice close up. I printed her out and colored her with Copic markers. I used lots of cardstock in this one with machine stitching.
I got that fabulous charm (that matches the pattern in her shirt) from Stamp and Create. Lacey also has the silk ribbon available (along with tons of other fabulous ribbons and lace), and if you haven't tried it yet, you are in for a real treat! I love the looks of it. Talk about making some fabulous bows with your Bow Easy!

That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Have a fabulous weekend! Hugs!

A whole new Bitten By The Bug 2!!!!

Well, the week has reached it's end, and I have to go back to reality tomorrow. My first day back to work since before Christmas Eve. I have surely enjoyed my time off! :) There's some exciting news for Bitten By The Bug! Regina, the OH SO TALENTED ladybug that founded Biten By The Bug two and a half years ago, has decided to move on and concentrate on her fabulous business, The Cutting Cafe'. If you haven't checked out Regina's digital stamps, then please do yourself a favor and go have a look around. We were all afraid that Bitten By The Bug was going to dissolve, but the fabulous Heather Binnie stepped up and took over the group, and thus - the birth of Bitten By The Bug 2!!!! Thank you sooo much, Heather! This week, our challenge is from Heather herself, and it's to use the "in style" phrase from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.

This is yet another digital stamp I've had forever from Mo's Digital Stamp Too. And this was the perfect challenge to use her. She's colored with Copic markers. DP is by 3 Bugs in a Rug and cardstock is Bazzill. This is one HEAVY card. I used tons of paper in it. If you click on the pics to take a close look, you'll see tons of layering on this one. And of course the layering is continued on the inside too. I added some machine stitching, and some beautiful silk ribbon, along with a cute purse charm (sorry - can't remember where I got the purse charm. Wish I could cause I need more of them!!).

This card will be for sale in my etsy shop if you happen to be interested. The link is on my side bar. Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug 2 to take a peek at the rest of the designers fabulous creations, and please don't forget to congratulate Heather and thank her for keeping this fabulous group together. I would also like to thank Regina SO MUCH for all the years she put into Bitten By The Bug. She's done such a fabulous job, and it truly breaks my heart to see her go. But I know we're going to see some amazing things from her in the near future. Thank you my dear friend. I love you and appreciate you more than you will every know! HUGS!

Papertake Weekly sketch challenge

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another awesome sketch from the amazingly talented Dawny!! This chickie makes the BEST sketches, and I honestly love to work with her! If you haven't been to visit her blog, then please do yourself a favor and check it out. This week over at Papertake Weekly, we're being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

I've had this digital stamp by Mo Manning for forever, and finally am getting the chance to use her. She's colored with Copic markers. I've paired her with some FABULOUS digital sentiments from a new set at The Cutting Cafe' called Because Nice Matters. LOVE this set and I just thought it went so well with this stamp! The inside sentiment is from the same set.

The DP is Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill. The buttons are Basic Grey as well, and the twine is from PTI. That's it for this card. Please join us over at Papertake Weekly and play along. You might win a prize from Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Happy Birthday Nicki and an adorable card from The Cutting Cafe'!!!!

Happy Friday everyone! Today is my oldest daughter's birthday! Happy Birthday Nicki! I love you so much and we're so proud of the beautiful woman you've turned out to be! Hope you have the best birthday ever!! I fell in love with this adorable image of Cinderella by Mo Manning when I first saw her on Pam's blog, and had to immediately purchase her! Nicki is such a hard little worker, and I just thought it would be too cute to make a birthday card for her with Cinderella! I even cased the sentiment from Pam too! Thanks Pam!! :) She's colored with my copic markers. The tag, scalloped circle set, and scalloped frame for the stamped image were all cut with the Cricut Expression using the Storybook cartridge and Tage, Bags, Boxes, and more cartridge. The inside says "may all your birthday dreams and wishes come true".

This next adorable card is a new mitten shaped card that is available at The Cutting Cafe'. I just think this is the cutest mitten card ever!! And it even comes with an envelope template that is the perfect size for the card! I used Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses which I got from Hallmark Scrapbook, and cut the card with my Pazzle Inspiration. The word circle is also from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called Christmas Circle Set 2. I just cut it out using circle Nestabilities. The snowflake on the inside was cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge.

That's it for today ladies! Hope you've enjoyed the cards and have a wonderful Friday! HUGS!!

I'm starting on my Christmas cards!

Happy Saturday! I am finally starting to work on my Christmas cards. Pretty soon, I will be working hard and heavy to try and get them all done so I don't have to stress about it. I always start out with such good intentions, and always end up short of my goal. Maybe this year will be different. We'll see. For this card, I used a new stamp set from The Cutting Cafe' called Christmas Long Borders. If you haven't checked out Regina's digi stamps, please do yourself a favor and go have a peek. She's got some really amazing Christmas sets available right now!

This gorgeous little girl is Noelle Bearing Gifts from Digital Penil Too, and she's colored with Copics. Is she not just gorgeous?? I just adore her Christmas coat and she has the most beautiful face. I placed her on a mat that was trimmed with a Martha Stewart border punch that my wonderful friend Jacque sent me! Thanks again Jacque! The DP is from an old, old, old stack and the cardstock is Bazzil. The images are printed on cryogen white. OH! Almost forgot to say that the snowflakes are cut with the Cricut Expression and Winter Woodland cartridge available for a wonderful price at Hallmark Scrapbook.
That's it for today. The kids went to the Pumpkin Patch today, so tomorrow we will be busy carving faces in them! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by to see me and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Happy Birthday Peggy!!

Today is my sister's birthday, so my post today is to honor her. I can remember when we were growing up, I wanted to be exactly like her. I wanted to go everywhere she went, do everything she did, and I have absolutely no doubt that I probably drove her crazy. LOL! And even though I drove her crazy, she was -and always has been - there for me when I needed her. She has become the matriarch of our family - a role she slid right into after our Mom passed away. And I still look up to her and strive to be like her. So when I saw this image by Mo from Digital Image Too titled "Sisters", I knew I had to have it for her Birthday card. It encompasses that amazing feeling of what it's like to have a big sister that always takes care of you and is there for you when you need her. Whether it be to tie your shoes, or give a hug. So today is the day to celebrate her. Thank you, Peggy, for everything you've always done for me. I'm so proud to be able to say you're my sis!

I knew I should have done this post after I finished the card, cause I honestly can't remember who the paper is by. I do know the cardstock is Bazzil and the image is colored with Copic markers which are pictured below. That awesome raffia lace I used was a gift from my wondeful friend, Jacque, and I love it. If you're interested, I have seen it in Bunny Zoe's shop. The flowers were cut using my Cricut Expression, and so was the scalloped square behind the stamped image.

Happy Birthday, Peggy!!!! I love you and I hope your day is fabulous!
Thanks for stopping by today to visit, and hope to see you back again soon! I'd love it if you would visit Peggy and take a look at her awesome vintage images. I think you'll like what you see! HUGS!

Dance as if no one were watching

If you haven't heard of Mo Manning and checked out her digi stamps, then I would say RUN to her site, Digial Pencil Too, and check out her fabulous work! I fell MADLY in love with this stamp when I first saw her. I actually gasped, and immediately put her in my cart.

I have the sweetest Mom In Law in the entire world, and she is turning 80 years old this weekend. She is so full of life, and she is a true inspiration to me. I wanted to make her a special card, so I knew I had to use this image to make it. I colored it with my copic markers and the DP is BG Lemonade. The base of the card is Bazzill cardstock, and the layering mats are with PTI cardstock. I added some machine stitching and a frame cut from my Storybook Cricut cartridge for the sentiment. The fronds are also from Storybook.

Added some pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and a rose from my friend Jacque. I think the charm came from The Hobby Store, but I'm not sure. My collection of charms is growing very rapidly and I don't remember what I got from where. So what do you think? Do you think she'll like it? I sure hope so. I mean...I know she's like my mom, and she'd like it if I smeared some ink on a piece of paper just cause I made it. But I really wanted to make her a special card. Did I accomplish my task?
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

3 Clover Thursday Challenge - Digi dowload challenge

Hi everyone! It sure is nice to be crafting again! It's Thursday, which means it's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. This week, she is doing a techie time challenge. Either use a digital download or create a background using your computer. I usually use the digi stamps from The Cutting Cafe, but I just recently got this adorable stamp, and well, I just HAD to use it! The image came from Digital Pencil Too. It reminded me too much of my grandson saying his goodnight prayers (even if he does have dark hair). So I couldn't resist.

I colored it with my copic markers, and used some of the markers that came in the new set of 12 pastel colors that I got from Magnolia-licious. These colors are so delicious! I also used some of my brand new silk ribbon that I got from Sharon at No Time To Stamp, Stamp Simply ribbon store. I have been looking for a good source for silk ribbon for ages, and I've finally found it. It just lays (lies???) on your card so nice and it's light as a feather. I was also lucky enough to win a wonderful little tool called Bow Easy from Sharon. Now I can't say that I couldn't make a bow before I got this little tool, but I will say that it took me a while with a lot of fidgeting with the ribbon to get it to look just right. Well, with the Bow Easy, it's one..two...three...and you have a FABULOUS looking bow! For all of you that have commented on my bows or asked me how I made them, please do yourself a favor and invest in this awesome little tool.

Ok, that's it for today. Please be sure and pop over to Three Clovers Designs to check out the rest of the fabulous cards the DT created. You're gonna love them! And then grab your digi downloads and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
This card will be for sale in my etsy shop if you're interested.
